My process of making art is based on repetition and pattern. The geometric and swirling interwoven shapes of my art are inspired by viscera, fashion and craft itself.   I work in many media, with my primary focus on fiber art: knit sculptures, hand weavings, stitchings.  My pieces are unapologetically feminine, colorful and intensive.  I find comfort in the hypnotic repetition of my process and the beauty and history of the materials I choose.   There is a therapeutic element to my work - with needle, thread and yarn, I am essentially mending my wounds with art;  healing through tactile expression.

I have made art since childhood.   I went on to study painting at the Massachusetts College of Art and also hold a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Art from Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers.  I have taught drawing and painting at both Montclair University and the Boston Center for Adult Education.    My work has been displayed in shows nationally and internationally.
